BRITISH ADULT CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009
26TH & 27th FEBRUARY 2010 - Ice Sheffield
CLOSING DATE 15TH JANUARY 2010 at 5pm
SUMMARY OF ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Skaters must meet the following requirements:
1. ELIGIBILITY
• NISA eligible (Full or Retained) members (Eligibility 4 form lodged with NISA for Retained Eligible .e.g. any skater Level 1 Assistants/trainee coach or higher)
2. CITIZENSHIP OR RESIDENCY
• Skaters who are British citizens and entitled to hold a British passport OR
• Skaters who have legally resided in Great Britain or Northern Ireland for at least one year, but are citizens of another country.
• In the Pairs and Ice Dance events, one partner of the Pair or Dance couple must be a British citizen. The other partner of the Pair or Dance couple may be a citizen or resident of another country.
3 AGE
For all standards in singles and solo dance up to and including Pre-Gold (where applicable) the following ages will apply:
Young Adults Must be 21 but not 28 before 1st July 2009
Class I Must be 28 but not 37 before 1st July 2009
Class II Must be 37 but not 47 before 1st July 2009
Class III Must be 47 but not 57 before 1st July 2009
Class IX Must be 57 before 1st July 2009 (no upper age limit)
NISA reserve the right to combine age classes should numbers dictate.
For all standards higher than Pre-Gold in Singles and solo dance, ALL Pair and exhibition sections the following ages will apply:
Gold 1 Must be 21 but not 37 before 1st July 2009
Gold 2 Must be 37 before 1st July 2009 (no upper age limit)
Masters Must be 21 before 1st July 2009 (no upper age limit)
4. STANDARD
Test standards are as stated in the individual sections. There are no maximum test standards in Field Moves, and test standard relates only to the discipline in which it was passed. For example, as skater holding a level 3 test in singles and pairs but no dance tests may enter a level 2 section in ice dance and vice versa.
APPLICATION TO COMPETE IN THE BRITISH ADULT CHAMPIONSHIPS
All skaters will be required to submit a fully completed application form to compete in the British Adult Championships by 15th January 2010 at 5pm. There will be no automatic entry for previous champions at the same level or champions from the level immediately below.
Participation in the British Adult Championships will not exclude skaters from entering other British Championships should they be eligible, but will exclude them from the NISA cup Final.
