The Sk8scotland Scottish Championships and National Opens 2009 will be held at Dumfries Ice Bowl from 12th October till 17th October 2009. The official Announcement and entry forms have now been approved by NISA and are available to download (PDF).
Attention is drawn to competitors entering the Solo Dance events Novice, Primary, Junior, Intermediate & Senior (Events 26-35): NISA has just published details of the qualifying series for the Solo Dance Championships 2010, which requires skaters to enter a minimum of 2 qualifying series events during the season 2009-10. The Scottish Championships 2009 has been designated as one of these qualifying series events. Please refer to the NISA website for full details.
We regret that the Synchro Events Announcement and Entry Forms have not yet been authorised by NISA, but we anticipate that these will be available for download during w/c 10th August 2009. It is intended that all Synchro events will be offered: Elementary, Preliminary, Novice, Junior (Short & Long Progs), Senior (Short & Long Progs), Adult, Juvenile, Intermediate 1 & Intermediate 2. (Events 46-54 respectively).
The closing date for entries (except Short Track) will be Monday 1st September 2009.
The Announcement and Entry Form for Short Track events (events 55-59) will be circulated separately to all Short Track clubs.
Important Notice - NISA Membership: Please would all competitors ensure when entering that their NISA membership is valid through 17th October 2009. All entries must be submitted to NISA (Form E3) shortly after the closing date (1st Sept) in order to secure the official NISA Permit, without which the entire event cannot take place. Skaters found to be out of membership/overdue can cause the Permit to be refused. Consequently, in the interests of the majority of members, it may be necessary to refuse entry to those out of membership/overdue. We would appreciate your close attention to this matter which will be strictly enforced.
